The Chemist

Today I drove home and got there just as Kit Kat was walking up. I went up to my room to read my new book from Grand Kat. Kit Kat's phone rang. It was Momoko. She needed our help.

A chemist was retiring and donating all the science goodies to Momoko. We though that Little Kat and Momomko could transport the load to school. We were wrong. Kit Kat and I brought the truck and a dolly. We helped carry the stuff from Momoko's car to her classroom. There will be more trips in the future with the truck.

At home, Little Kat unpacked a few chemistry treasure he got for himself. Then he went outside to pitch his tent. He is spending the weekend in the back yard roughing it. He might be a boy scout at heart after all. Kit Kat is cooking us up some fried chicken. She and Momoko might even go see a movie tonight if everyone gets their work done.

Rainy Day

My bro came over to watch some movies as usual. We had two long movies to watch. So I decided to order in. Dominos delivered some hot wings and cheesy bread. The Figther was the best movie we saw. I said goodbye to my bro and started cleaning the house.

Around this time Little Kat woke up in his tent. He came in the house and asked why nobody woke him up this afternoon. I told him he probably needed the sleep. Little Kat proceeded to eat Momoko's Chinese food leftovers.

Then Kit Kat and Momomko came home from a long day of shopping. They went to the evil Walmart and had a tough time. However they treated themselves to some delicious Subway foot long subs. Little Kat complained that he was left out from the feast. Momoko thought he was okay since he got the yummy Chinese good. I say, "You snooze, you lose."

Pitching the Tent

Last week Little Kat bought a 2-cat tent. This week he decided to pitch the text and sleep in it. That was hard core. It is raining and is cold. No problem for Little Kat.

Little Kat brought out "all the blankets" to keep himself warm. He reported that no water entered the tent. I found it funny that I had to go outside to take out the trash at midnight. I heard some singing coming from the tent. Hehe. Little Kat having fun.

Easter Dinner

Today we are having my family over for dinner. My uncle made a surprise visit to my folks house. So he will be coming over for dinner as well. We all slept in a little this morning. However Kit Kat was up early enough to start cooking the ham.

Little Kat and Kit Kat camped out in the back yard last night. Little Kat has been trying hard to get Kit Kat to spend the night. Earlier in the week he spent some nights in the tent alone.

Today Momoko and I were getting the room ready for a big dinner table. We spotted some ants coming into the house by our vent. Previously I dumped a bunch of Ortho Home Defense outside. Momoko and Kit Kat sprayed 409 cleaner inside to kills the ants that made it in. This continued today.

Now I am going to take one last tour of the house with Little Kat. My parents have not seen any of the new appliances or furniture (bookshelves) that we have acquired over the past year. Happy Easter to all.

Lil Kat in a Pup Tent

Little Kat has to prepare for camping with the Boy Scouts he is joining. He needs to be able to carry his tent to a site and set it up by himself. There is no way Little Kat can handle out massive 7-man tent. So Mamma Kat bought him a little pup tent.

Now I have not seen this thing yet. Little Kat says it is called a 2-man tent. However Mamma Kat said it is barely big enough for Little Kat. He set it up in the back yard tonight. And now he plans to spend the night out there by himself. That sounds like a bold move. We back to woods. Who knows what type of predators roam back there.

In more positive news, Little Kat and I borrowed some wood glue from my dad. We disassembled his broken musket rifle. Then we applied the wood glue. We put the gun back together. Then we formed a cast around the gun with duct tape.

LOLcats

There is some new movement called LOLcats. Apparently it hinges around pictures of cats with funny sayings. The official site is something like "I Can Has Cheezburgers".

In other news, Little Kat talked Kit Kat into sleeping out in the tent tonight. They still have the tent pitched in the back yard. It is a little cold out. However they are getting practice in for our trip next week to go camping with the Boy Scouts.

The fence on one side of our yard is falling apart due to rot or termites. I want to replace it with a vinyl fence. But that is going to require us to save up for it. So right now I am bracing the fence with some new pressure treated wood. Let's hope it holds up.

Missing In Action

It has been a long and hard week for me. I was studying hard to pass an industry certification exam early in the week. And I was working hard to complete a programming contest for the second half. By the time the weekend came, I was out of gas.

My brother visits me every Saturday. He is a good cat. So I did not want to cancel plans with him this weekend. I kept falling asleep as we were watching our second movie together though. When he left, I had to go upstairs for a cat nap. It turned into a long slumber though.

I woke up in the middle of the night very thirsty. Mamma Kat had not come to bed. I came downstairs to find nobody in the house. That was strange. I checked the driveway, and Mamma Kat's car was still here. Then I saw that the bag containing the new tent the family bought was missing. I figured everybody except me must have been out in the back yard camping out to test the new tent. After a few minutes I found Mamma Kat coming in the side door. She was checking on the kids who had pitched the tent and were sound asleep out back. Whew. Now I can go back to sleep in peace.
