TurboTax Failure

Momoko and I alternate who buys our tax preparation software each year. This time around it is Momoko's responsibility. She complained that TurboTax no longer offers a CD/DVD to install their software. Apparently you can only download the program online. I did not like this at all.

To actually obtain some product in hand, Momoko went to Staples and purchased TurboTax Deluxe federal and state. It just comes with an online license code. I was the first to file taxes this year. So I tried to download the software. The download failure over 10 times. The whole experience was an epic fail. Time to write the CEO of Intuit Software. Next year I am in charge. We might have to switch to H&R Block TaxCut software.

There were additional trials. TurboTax does not work on my Windows 7 Desktop. We have a family computer in the library that has Windows 10 or 11 on it. However it is seldom used. I had to clear out the area. Tried using the wireless mouse. It was covered in gunk that would not scrub off with either Formula 409 nor Dawn dish detergent. Luckily I had backup wireless mice that could be swapped in.
