Day 4 House 4

The last house of the day had some curb problems. The color choice was bad. The front had some damage to the wood. The concrete in front of the front door was cracked. The living room was a good size. There was a small deck that had the wood starting to rot. However there was a fully fenced back yard with a privacy fence.

The kitchen had very little counter space. It was not open. And it only had room for some appliances. There was no large breakfast nook like other houses. There was a second living room with a fireplace and hard woods. The main level had a room with a washer and dryer. Garage had some plywood in the rafters for limited storage.

Wood stair leading up had a wobbly banister. Then at the top of the stairs the handrail was missing. All the carpets on the main level were trashed or missing. Two of the bedrooms were small. Another bedroom had two closets. The hall bath was dirty.

The master bedroom had a small bath tub. The walk in closet was small as well. The only good carpet in the house was in the basement. There was a large room in the basement. There was a carpeted bathroom with shower down in the basement. There was also half of the basement with tiled floor. Momoko spotted some water damage near the outside door.

Little Kat noticed the steps leading to the basement did not feel solid. This house was listed for $300k and was vacant. However it still did not seem like a good deal.

Day 4 House 3

The third house we saw today had a good sized carpeted living room. The kitchen had nice floors and a granite counter with center island. The kitchen opened to a family room with gas fireplace and cathedral ceiling. The back yard had a small deck with built in bench. However the shape of the back yard was weird. A center garden was empty. It backed to a park.

The master bedroom was a good size. There was a big bath tub, separate shower, and dual vanity. That was the only good thing about the top level. Each of the other three bedrooms were small. So was the hall bathroom.

The basement rooms we saw were carpeted. However a majority of the basement was behind a locked door we could not open. They had another tenant downstairs. The family inhabiting the house was there as we viewed the house too. Their agent did not inform them we were coming. Not good. Listed for $325k which was too much,.
