Exhausted Cat

This week is Science Fair at Momoko's school. And Momoko is in charge of it. So on Monday, Momoko brought Kit Kat to work for help. Apparently Kit Kat was worked hard. Luckily Kit Kat brought her own car to the school. After the school day was over, Kit Kat drove herself and Little Kat home.

When Little Kat arrived in the house after school, he plopped down on the couch and was out. I let the lil guy sleep for about an hour. Then we woke up Little Kat to cook us some dinner. It was a good move. Momoko came home really late. However she was just in time for Little Kat's dinner being ready.

Today the Science Fair is still going on at school. I went out to work in the yard. Kit Kat stopped by Momoko's school after school was over. She picked up Little Kat again to bring him home early. Momoko stayed really late. Apparently this time Little made it upstairs to his bedroom. He needed another nap.

Vacation Begins

Yesterday I woke up. There was one thing to do before leaving for vacation. I had to do a load of laundry. I figured this would work fine, as I do laudry every Sunday. Little Kat somehow woke up earlier and started his own load of laundry. He is supposed to do that on Friday and Saturday every week. This put us an hour or so behind schedule.

We made some of the time up on the road. There was a scheduled spot at a Sonic drive in about an hour from the beach. It was a little out of the way. Before we got there, Momomoko spotted a Sonic right on the road we were driving. We were hungry and chowed down.

An hour or so later we arrived at the beach. The room was good. Momoko and I both had our own beds. Little Kat had a surprise fold out couch. We turned the air conditioning on. But the room kept getting hotter. It turns out that they only have heat in this season. We had to get a fan and open the slider to the patio. Little Kat wanted to go to the pool immediately. Instead we ended up going to dinner and dessert. The vacation begins.

Bulky Trash

Today Momoko got word that the bulky trash men are coming tomorrow to take out couch. So the family had to move our heavy couch out to the curb.

I wish I knew we needed to do this earlier. We did our exercise today. That meant we danced to an exhausting Zumba game on the Wii. Since I was crazy, I followed that up with 30 minutes on the stationary bike.

Both Kit Kat and I rearranged the vehicle so they were all parked in the driveway. Then we turned our old couch upside down. Then we dragged the thing out the front door, over the grass, over to the curb. We usually store up big trash for times when the special trash guys come out. So we all hauled the other heavy trash and piled it up on the curb.

Living Room Furniture

We have some old furniture in our living room. Momoko wants it replaced which is fine. She also decided we should move the old furniture down to the basement.

There was just one problem with this plan. Both pieces of furniture are very heavy. Kit Kat tried to "slide" the love seat into the basement. It got stuck on the way down the stairs. Somehow we managed to lift the love seat back up the stairs to get it unstuck. My back and Kit Kat's arms suffered as a result.

Now I have made a new and final plan. I will buy some new furniture for the living room. But the cats that deliver the new furniture must take away our heavy couch. My back is is just too important to throw out just to save the couch. I am sure Kit Kat agrees.
