Vacation Begins

Yesterday I woke up. There was one thing to do before leaving for vacation. I had to do a load of laundry. I figured this would work fine, as I do laudry every Sunday. Little Kat somehow woke up earlier and started his own load of laundry. He is supposed to do that on Friday and Saturday every week. This put us an hour or so behind schedule.

We made some of the time up on the road. There was a scheduled spot at a Sonic drive in about an hour from the beach. It was a little out of the way. Before we got there, Momomoko spotted a Sonic right on the road we were driving. We were hungry and chowed down.

An hour or so later we arrived at the beach. The room was good. Momoko and I both had our own beds. Little Kat had a surprise fold out couch. We turned the air conditioning on. But the room kept getting hotter. It turns out that they only have heat in this season. We had to get a fan and open the slider to the patio. Little Kat wanted to go to the pool immediately. Instead we ended up going to dinner and dessert. The vacation begins.

You Got 12 Viruses

I was busy doing a few loads of laundry yesterday. It was a bit of catch up from last weekend. In the middle, Kit Kat said she needed help. Her computer was telling her that she had 12 viruses detected. Kit Kat previously had been infected with some scam that tried to get her to buy a $70 antivirus software. This time it was not as bad. She got stuck on a web site that took control of Firefox. We got it unstuck in a few minutes.

On a more positive note, last weekend we installed a towel holder in the kids bathroom for Kit Kat to hang her hand towel. Momoko got jealous. So we bought another one for her own private towel. I tried to let Little Kat do the work of hanging the new holder. He first had to relocate the tooth paste holder. He punched some holes in the wall for the anchors. He had some trouble tightening the final screw. We also had a lot of trouble with the towel holder. Turns out we installed the thing in the wrong direction. It was never going to work under we figured out to reorient it the right way. Little Kat is becoming a little carpenter slowly.

Up and Away

Sundays are the days I normally do my chores at home. This weekend I got a head start on the laundry and bills on Saturday. That's because Momoko kept asking for us to go to the movies.

Today I had a lot of extra work to do. However I worked quick. Then Momoko and I dashed to the movie theater to see Up. I was glad we did.

After the movie, Momoko was hungry. I thought we could get some Chinese take out. However Momoko did not know what she wanted. We ended up dining in at this great restaurant close to our house. Now it is time for me to get back to work on my chores.

Black Gets Black

This weekend was a busy Saturday for the whole family. So everyone was tired Sunday morning. I tried to wake Mamma Kat up early. All I got was a hiss. Later on I was able to talk her into getting us some breakfast.

I got an early start on my laundry. Things were looking up. After my white load of laundry had completed its dryer cycle, I was shocked to find that all my white clothes turned into Dalmatian colored clothes. They had some black stuff on them.

Now the culprit seemed to have been a black crayon that somehow got into the dryer. Little Kat is a cat who likes to put crayons in his pockets. That is all fine until you do the laundry. You have to empty your pockets. Little Kat made some signs to remind him to empty his pockets. He is also trying to get the black out of my white clothes. Do you have any secret recipes to do this?
