Easter Plans

I invited my parents over to our house for Easter next Sunday. Kit Kat will make us a nice dinner. There was just one problem. Where would everybody sit? Momoko wanted us all at one table. Our dinner table sits 4 comfortably.

We have a table with folding legs downstairs. So we brought it upstairs. However it only seats 4 as well. Momoko wanted to somehow extend this table to seat the required 7.

That's when Momoko came up with the great idea. We could buy a small card table to sit at the end of our table. Her old car used to have such a table built into the back. But she sold it. Kit Kat and I went off to Wally World in the truck to buy a table.

There was a bonus surprise at Walmart. The table we found came with 4 chairs. Little Kat was impressed that the folding chairs actually had padded seat. The box with the new table was too big to bring in the side entrance to the house. We had to open up the double doors at the front entry. Once unpacked, we found it to be the perfect supplement to our existing folding table. Easter dinner here we come,

Visting Mom

Today I had to get out of work early. Momoko needed me to pick up Little Kat from school. Little Kat and I went to the store to find some flowers to give to my mom. Then we went and visited both my mom and dad.

We stayed a while and chatted. However we had to get back home. It was Little Kat's turn to cook dinner. Of course Kit Kat was home long before Little Kat and I got home.

Little Kat cooked us up some chicken. But we ran out quickly. Kit Kat was hungry, and Momoko was not home yet from her meetings. Little Kat had to cook a second batch of chicken.

Kit Kat on Wheels

Today we realized that Kit Kat will be old enough to get her driving permit (oh boy) soon. We decided to have the diving "discussion" to figure out what we are going to do about teaching her to drive. I am not sure all parents are equipped with the patients it takes and I can only hope I that my relationship with her will not suffer during this trying period. We made a plan and I will keep you up-to-date on her progress!
