Striking Oil

Today Little Kat and Momoko assembled our new lawn mower. One of the tasks was to put the oil into the mower. Momoko asked when was the last time we checked the oil on our old mower. Never.

Kit Kat pulled out the dip stick and found the old mower had no oil. Doh. Momoko instructed the family to not use the old mower until we got some oil. That put a damper in the plan to use 2 mowers and get the lawn done twice as fast.

Kit Kat and Momoko drove to the gas station to find some lawn mower oil. No luck. Little Kat and I went to Target. They did not have any there either. Luckily Wallyworld came to the rescue. Walmsrt sells lawn mowers and lawn mower oil.

Next week we plan to be very effective using 2 lawn mowers. We will need to be. Kit Kat is doing some charity walk all night on the weekend. She will be in no shape to help us cut the grass the next day.

Shopping Cart Fail

Little Kat and I went shopping at Target today like every Sunday. We had a short list. That made us happy. The checkout lines were long. As we got close to the register, an employee came and unloaded Little Kat's shopping cart. That seemed odd. Then she tried to pile some other stuff in the cart and take off with it.

I looked at Little Kat, and he seemed to just be remaining quiet. Therefore I shouted at the employee saying, "Hello? We still have cokes on the bottom of our cart." The employee looked like she was taken aback. She asked if we still needed the cart. I felt like responding with a "duhhhh". However I remained respectful and said we needed our cart.

It seemed a bit rude that an employee would steal our cart without asking first. Now if we could only get Little Kat to be assertive enough to prevent shopping cart theft, we will be all the better. It is okay though. I think he learns by watching how Momoko and I handle outselves.

Here Comes the Rain Again

The family was busy playing iPhone games this morning and early afternoon. Eventually I said we needed to go outside and do our work. Kit Kat and Momoko used the jig saw to cut some wood. Little Kat and I used the drill to unscrew and remove some temporary wood, and to secure the new wood. This was all for our large firewood holder in the carport.

The rain came down hard so we could not do any of the normal yard work today. Little Kat and I proceeded to Target for shopping. Today is the launch date for Pokemon black edition which Little Kat has been waiting for. He purchased a copy at Target. We were so into trying to get that Pokemon black that I forgot to pick up my Hannah Montana 2-DVD special pack with book. On the way home we used a coupon to buy roast beef and cheddar sandwiches for the whole family.

Bumpy Shopping

Normally Little Kat and I go shopping at Target every Sunday. However there are some things that we can only find at Walmart. So we went to Walmart today. I knew we were in trouble when I saw the cars parked in the overflow Walmart parking lot.

Inside the temperature was hot. And it was more crowded than usual, which seems impossible because it is always very crowded on the weekend. I spied Little Kat bumping into at least three people at the store. Then he crashed into me from behind. Not good. Little Kat said he was hot and tired. We need to fix this problem pronto.

The good news is that we found a lot of those things that only Walmart sells. We got the apple cinnamon Glade air freshener that Momoko loves. We also picked up a bunch of Mean Green, which nobody except Walmart seems to carry. Walmart cokes are way too expensive. So we got the knock off brands over some sodas.

Loading up the Truck

Since I have been sick for a while, I had been skipping out on my duty to go shopping at Target/Walmart. Today I was not 100%. But I was well enough to shop at Target. Little Kat and I went out at lunch time.

They had a sale on Cokes at Target. We loaded up the car with a bunch of Cherry Coke, Sprite, and Regular Coke. Good stuff. We also got all those things we had on the list for Target.

Little Kat was happy because we had enough time at the end of shopping for him to get a iTunes card. He already bought Legend of the Guardians with his card for the computer. All in all a good day.

Rita's Italian Ice

Little Kat and I did our regular Sunday shopping. I usually go to Walmart because of the great prices. However today I decided to take us to Target. We got some wild bird feed which seemed pricey. Little Kat talked me into buying "How to Train Your Dragon" on DVD. We bought the 2-disc set that has an extra movie with it.

Afterwards Little Kat suggested we drop by Rita's. It is an ice cream store in the Target parking lot. We got there and found there were many options to choose from. This was our first time there. Little Kat ended up choosing a mango gelatti. It is vanilla custard in a cup with mango Italian ice in the middle. I just got a vanilla custard waffle cone.

This week I got a package that I had ordered by mail. It was an air compressor to inflate things like car tires and sports balls. Little Kat helped me test it out on my truck tires. He said the thing was slow to inflate a car tire, and made a lot of noise. It was also tricky to pull the inflating needle out of a football or basketball. We figured it out though. Now I do not have to go to the gas station when my tire needs air. I just plug this bad boy into the cigarette lighter and I am good.

The 5 Shelf Bookcase

Our kitchen is starting to get a little crowded. We have a lot of little appliances. For example we have a new George Foreman grill. We also have contraptions like a machine that extracts the yoke of an egg. There is little counter space to put all these items.

Mamma Kat decided that we needed something to hold all our small appliances. The plan is for us to replace our microwave cart with a tall bookshelf. Only this shelf shall not hold any books. It will hold appliances.

A week ago I placed an order for a 5 shelf bookshelf from Target. Mamma Kat had picked it out. I had Target ship it to use. When I came home on Friday, I saw a tall box standing in our carport. I knew our shelf had arrived.

Kit Kat and Little Kat are in charge of assembling the shelf. Kit Kat is reading the instructions and directing. Little Kat is screwing the thing together. Mamma Kat is supervising so the cats don't fight too much. After that we plan to play some games tonight.
