Family Workers

Yesterday I had the family come outside and help me with the yard work. Little Kat had his friend spend the night. So his friend came outside to help too. Momoko did not want the friend cutting the grass with the lawn mower. So he had to pick up stick and bag the grass.

I chopped up a huge pile of sticks and branches. Bagged them all. They filled up 4 trash cans worth. Momoko took the hard task of cutting the grass on the treacherous hill. Kit Kat finished up her part of the work then went to the movies with her friends.

With Little Kat's friend going home, and Kit Kat gone for the night, I asked Little Kat where he would like to go out for dinner. He wanted to go to a Mongolian BBQ place. The price was high. I called around and found a Chinese buffet that cost less and provided soft drinks with the price. We went and Little Kat found that the Delicious Chicken was not so delicious. He also did not care for the stuffed mushrooms. But everything else was great.

Restaurant Madness

I planned to meet a cat for dinner yesterday. I arrived at the restaurant right on time. After walking around the place to make sure my friend was not there, I got a booth. Then I waited and waited.

After 20 minutes, I called my friend on his cell phone. It went to voice mail. I decided to order some dinner. 10 minutes later my phone rings and my friend is next to my table. He said he was sitting on the other side of the restaurant for the last half hour. Doh! My bad luck was that he left his cell phone at home.

Luckily we had a lot of catching up to do. So we hung out for a few hours. It was good times. Lesson learned is to call the person as I am walking in the door to the restaurant.

Dining Out

An old buddy of mine wanted to get together tonight. We decided to eat dinner together at a new restaurant. I came home and informed Momoko that I would not be eating with the family.

Little Kat was scheduled to cook some meatloaf for dinner. However when the family heard I was going out, they decided to go out too. I guess they feel entitled.

It seems they went to some nice place like Red Lobster. I myself went to this new place. It was an upscale restaurant. And it was crowded. Some of the food was quite delicious. They had a lot of weird stuff on the menu. I just made sure I ordered stuff that was not served raw.

Friend of Little Kat

Tonight Little Kat had a friend over. The friend is spending the night. Momoko and Kit Kat snuck out to see a movie in the theaters. That left me in charge. I was busy reading email and such.

The cats asked me whether they could cook up some popcorn. "No problem," I told them. Little Kat's friend was pleased to find a microwave popcorn with extra butter in our pantry.

A few minutes later I heard some noises. Then I smelled the problem. Little Kat burned the popcorn in the microwave. There was a very exciting game going on the computer which distracted him. All good fun.

Gift Shopping

The picture to the left has nothing to do with my post. I just thought it was a cool picture.

Mamma Kat and I planned to shop for a gift today. A coworker's daughter is graduating and turning 18. Mamma Kat and I are invited to a big formal party. I thought we should get a memorable gift for the girl. My initial idea was to get some apparel from the university she shall be attending.

The plan was for Mamma Kat to get up, take Little Kat to visit his friend, and we would go shopping. Little Kat was banging on the bedroom door 5 minutes before they were supposed to meet his friend. Let's just say they did not make it on time.

By the time Mamma Kat got back, I found out the university book store was closed on the weekends as school is out. So we just got some pasta for lunch instead. Mamma Kat even paid. Upon return we could not find Kit Kat in the house. Mamma Kat got a little worried. However it turned out she was downstairs. She must have been listening to that iPod.
