Thug Life

Being Christmas eve, I had to drop off some gifts today. I brought Little Kat along for the ride. Momoko assigned me the task of picking up dinner for the family. I took orders from the family for Chinese food. I figured I would go to our favorite take out restaurant.

I was disturbed to find our favorite take out restaurant was closed. So Little Kat and I went to a Chinese food restaurant in the hood. Turns out this place is actually a liquor store that served Chinese food on the side. Little Kat said he was scared. There were a couple times where I planned out my moves in case some cats got out of line.

Both Little Kat and I noticed one dude who looked like he was about to steal some beer from the store. Luckily at the last minute he came back and returned the booze. When we got our order, we high tailed it out of the liquor store. We will not be going back there any time soon. The food tasted ok. It was our lives we were fearing for.

Silver Alert

Black and I were able to get a lot of rest and relaxation during the weekend. We were able to eat out a few times so I did not have to cook much. We watched a lot of movies and even made it to see Despicable Me today. I was really funny.

On our way home, we noticed the traffic alert signs were flashing. There was a silver alert. Neither Black nor I had ever heard of a silver alert. Information followed about a car to look for but we kinda thought silver sounded like something good, like a treasure so we were baffled. When we got home I Googled it, apparently it is an alert for a missing or misplaced senior citizen. I am thinking they should just say, "ALERT (List make and model of car )and CALL 911" and do not worry about the code.

Slippery Adventure

Today the snow plow came. Well, we saw him drive down the street but never saw any evidence of actually plowing. We did notice that he was good at talking on the phone. We had to get out today because a colleague of mine lost her mother and we wanted to attend her memorial reception. I was thankful I had a 4 x 4 because the side streets where pretty slippery. After the service, we stopped at our favorite little Mexican restaurant for a quick bite to each (yum yum) and then dropped by the grocery store for extra supplies. We were suppose to go to an Anime Convention for my birthday but with the roads being so bad, we decided to skip it. Oh well, maybe next year. I am sure the big 40 will past without incident. We made it back home safely and we are currently enjoying the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. GO USA!!!!

Restaurant Madness

I planned to meet a cat for dinner yesterday. I arrived at the restaurant right on time. After walking around the place to make sure my friend was not there, I got a booth. Then I waited and waited.

After 20 minutes, I called my friend on his cell phone. It went to voice mail. I decided to order some dinner. 10 minutes later my phone rings and my friend is next to my table. He said he was sitting on the other side of the restaurant for the last half hour. Doh! My bad luck was that he left his cell phone at home.

Luckily we had a lot of catching up to do. So we hung out for a few hours. It was good times. Lesson learned is to call the person as I am walking in the door to the restaurant.

Joining the G-Force

Momoko brought the kids to school to help with her classroom. When they got back, they were hungry. Kit Kat said she could hardly stand. This was a case for Chinese food.

We went to a nice sit down restaurant. Little Kat had trouble deciding what to order. He ended up asking for something that was not on the menu. Momoko and Kit Kat both got Mushi-Pork.

Afterwards, we figured our work for the weekend was done. So it was time to go watch one of the movies we had been wanting to see. Since it has been out for a while, we chose G-Force. There were not many people in the theater. We like that.

Food is Still King

I had to wake Momoko up early today. There was a session at the conference that I had to see. And Momoko wanted to eat at a sit down restaurant before heading over to the conference.

So I let Momoko choose the lunch spot. It was this little diner that sponsored the conference. When we got there, we stood in line. The sign said, "Seat yourself." All the tables were full. I tried to encourage the group in front of us to hurry up and sit down in an empty spot. Finally I asked them if we could just go to one of the tables ourselves, seeing as there were plenty of tables they could have already sat at.

Lunch was good. The place was called the Steel City Diner. If you are in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, I highly recommend them. Their prices are reasonable. And the food it good. The ham steak and chicken breast meals are delicious. I advise you to try their potato salad. After that we headed to the conference, where I asked a panel of gamers a bunch of questions.

Some Like it Hot

Today we took Mamma Kat out to eat. We went to one of her favorite restaurants. It is actually a pub. But the upstairs is a restaurant. Mamma ordered her favorite crab dip as a meal.

Lil Kat wondered what the dip tasted like. So he and I split another order of the crab dip. It tasted best with their fresh baked bread.

Strangely enough, both Lil Kat and I ordered same dish. We had this salad that had a lot of goodies in it. There was some hard boiled egg. There were generous strips of chicken in it. It was topic with bacon.

Kit Kat ordered "Diablo Chicken". She did not pay attention to the crucial ingredient - crushed red pepper. She tried eating the spicy meal. After eating a few bites, and drinking a couple sodas to cool down, we switched her meal to a salad like me and Lil Kat.

Nobody Home

I worked hard today. When I came home, I found Little Kat home all alone. I also found an advertisement for Chinese food in the door. There were no groceries at home. So I decided Little Kat and me should order some Chinese food takeout.

The ad had the phone numbers for the Chinese food restaurant. I called the first number. It was busy. I tried the second number. It was busy too. I could not get in touch with them. Maybe everybody got an ad from them and was calling them up.

Little Kat and I decided to drive to another Chinese food restaurant. On the way to the Chinese food place, we spied Ruby Tuesdays. That is another restaurant known for its yummy salad bar. It was settled. Little Kat and I were going to eat at Ruby Tuesdays.

Little Kat was happy when we say down. We had a small booth that had a chair he thought was just the right size. We looked through the large menu. Both of us knew we were going to add the salad bar to our dinner. Little Kat ordered a Buffalo Chicken Burger meal. This was a chicken sandwich with Buffalo hot sauce on it. I decided to have the same. It came with piping hot thin french fries.

After we placed out order, Little Kat and I ran up to the salad bar. Ruby Tuesdays has fancy square plates. We loaded up some iceberg lettuce. I spied Little Kat going for some chick peas and lima bean. I preferred the green peppers and cucumbers. Both of us opted to eat the darn brown chewy croutons that Ruby Tuesdays offered. Dinner was excellent.
