Day 5 House 3

The last house we saw today was of great interest to us. It was located close to Momoko and Kit Kat's school. There was a tree down in front of the walk to the front door. We had to climb up a hill to get in. Little Kat noticed that there were two large pillars in the entry way. I saw some brick stains above the garage doors. The garage itself smelled heavily of gas. However the garage ceiling was really high.

The mud room in the basement had some mold on it. There was a really big carpeted room in the basement with a fireplace. It had a small kitchen with electric stove down there. The ceiling had some water damage. There were huge built in shelves at the one end of the big room. The room had a hall which led to a bathroom with bath tub. The hall ended at a small bedroom with a low 6 foot entry door.

The main level had a kitchen with wood floor. There were laminate counters with a lot of space. The second electric stove was in the main kitchen. There was a big pantry closet. The kitchen opened to the dining room, which had two sliders to the side deck and back yard. The dining room was connected to a living room making a very long room.

There were large windows on the main level with great overlooking views. The next door neighbor to the back had a fence, and the neighbor to the side had a mean looking German Sheppard. The main floor also had a laundry room with shelving. There was one bedroom with a fireplace in it. There was also a master bedroom. The master bathroom had a very large dated vanity. There was also a bath tub in there. Nice windows allowed much sunlight into the master bath.

The banister on the stairs leading to the top floor was wobbly. There was one bathroom with a bath tub up there. And there were two massive bedrooms up there as well. Kit Kat and Little Kat got real excited. The first bedroom had two closets. One was a walk in cedar closet. It also had a bump out sitting area. The second bedroom had three closets. It also had a bump out sitting area.

Most of the land with this house was heavily sloped down. The two car garage had a deck over it with questionable wood (might be in an early stage of rot). Overall the house was large. Having seem almost 20 houses so far, this one was either the best or second best overall. It was a short sale listed for $300k. I need to decide whether we want to make an offer on this one.

This one looks nice from the picture. Have you settled on one or are you still looking?

Nope. We are still looking. This one came close. But the yard was on a killer hill. I am not going to mow that.
